Wildcats earn clean sweep in XC MAC meet

Cross country runners were in action on Saturday with the Midwest Athletic Conference holding its respective championships. The race was held in Coldwater.

In the boys race, Minster took first place with a score of 33, with New Bremen in second (68), followed by Marion Local (92).

The rest of the team scores were Parkway (111), Versailles (118), Coldwater (159), St. John’s (165); Fort Recovery (210) and St. Henry (247). New Knoxville did not have a team score.

Alex Albers of the Wildcats won the race with a time of 16:43. Jack Grieshop (17:26); Joseph Slonkosky (17:35); Ryan Halpin (17:37) and

Jim Trzaska (17:40) were close behind, finishing sixth, seventh, ninth and 10th.

Other runners were Tyler Prenger (18:18); Nick Prenger (18:43); Russell Heid (18:46); Alex Westerheide (19:02); Noah Walter (19:05); Braeden Bohman (19:24); Matthew Wenning (20:49); Jacob Keller (21:30); Owen Meyer (21:47); Lucas

Stammen (22:15); Andrew Kogge (22:21); Noah Droesch (22:29); and Carter Dircksen (23:38).

New Bremen was led by Zach Wiedeman, who placed fifth (17:22). Next was Zach Ashman in 11th (17;43), then Patrick Bernhold
