Mercer Health hosting pair of 5Ks

Redskin Classic 5K

The 2022 Mercer Health 5K Challenge continues with the Redskin Classic 5K at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 3. This chip timed run/walk event will start and finish on Columbus Street near the high school. Race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and is $20. Shirts not included in race day registration.

This event is sponsored P.T. Services with the proceeds to benefit community improvements and events. Online pre-registration is available at MercerHealth5kChallenge.com with a $15 registration fee. All kids 14 & under race free with a completed registration.

Shanes Crossing 5K

The 2022 Mercer Health 5K season continues with the Shane’s Crossing 5K run/walk at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9. Race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

This road race begins and ends at Shane’s Park, 705 W. Front Street in Rockford. Pre-registration is available for $15 at MercerHealth5kChallenge.com and race day registration will also be available for $20 per runner.

All participants 14 & younger race free with a completed registration form.

A half-mile fun run is also available for all children 12 & under beginning at 8 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Parkway Athletic Boosters. For more information call 419-953-5001.
