Minster Livestock 4H Club holds meeting to discuss old business

On 5-21-2023 The Minster livestock 4H Club met at 7:00 p.m. in the Minster Elementary School Commons. Vice President Leanne Wendeln brought the meeting to order, and the pledges and roll call were taken. Last meeting minutes were read and approved. Treasurer report was given.

In old business, the club passed to get the food permit for the Oktoberfest to sell cabbage rolls. The club also passed the idea of donating BBQ pork at the fair for the buyers at the livestock sale. The club will pay one dollar for each member for club insurance. As for the 4H camp, all the girls slots are taken, only a few boys slots are available. Lastly, the club chose to table the trip to MVP dairy until next year.

As for new business, all 4-H parents are to be sure to check your emails for important fair information from the extension office. The club approved to pay the book bill and pay for two plots for the Oktoberfest to sell cabbage rolls. The Auglaize County Improvement committee will be selling bricks as a fun raiser. These bricks can be purchased and engraved with the name/names of the buyers at a cost. These bricks will be used for a new courtyard outside the Piehl arena. The club agreed on buying a brick. It was decided to table the idea of giving out complimentary tickets for all club members for the fair until next meeting.

Recreation followed the meeting. Meeting was adjourned and next meeting is scheduled for Sunday 6-112023 at 7:00 p.m. at Minster Elementary School Commons. Be sure to bring project books for the prefair judging.
