Police

ceived guests from the Lane 19 Men’s Softball Team who requested to hold a tournament at Four Seasons Park from July 21 to July 23. After some brief discussion, the request was approved in short order.

Several ordinances and resolutions were given a second reading during the meeting and promptly were moved to receive a third and final reading for the next council meeting. This includes the following: Ordinance 2305-01, which deals with amending general service rules and regulations section 50.38; Resolution 23-05-01, which declares it necessary to improve Industrial Drive’s curbs and gutters; Resolution 23-05-02, which focuses on improvements related

to Sixth Street; and Ordinance 23-05-02, which involves dedicating phase one of the Steepview Subdivision within the village of Minster.

Two new ordinances were discussed at the meeting as well. One was Ordinance 23-05-03, which involved possibly entering an agreement with the Minster Local School District for fuel purchases. This would allow the schools to use the city fueling stations to fuel up their school buses. An agreement has been drawn up, with plans to discuss it further at a second and third reading of the ordinance.

Ordinance 23-05-04 was also discussed, with the council going into brief discussion on the matter of entering a Renewable Energy Credits Sale/Purchase program member schedule with AMP. The rules were

suspended in order to approve the ordinance after some discussion.

The Administrator’s Report consisted of these items:

• Crews from RD

Jones have completed work on the Dues Ditch Project. Last week, the concrete work was completed as well as the patching of Seventh Street. In addition, the ground has been seeded and fertilized.

• Crews continue to

work on the construction of the water tower. Landmark’s crews are currently working on installing the third level to the bowl. Once this crew is finished, a painting crew will come in and paint the cone and sides of the bowl. Once that gets completed, the bowl will be ready to be raised.

• Crews from the

Park’s Department continue to work on getting

the swimming pool ready for the summer, with expectations to open up the pool on May 29.

• Sommer’s Excavating has started on the water line and sewer line extension project on State Route 119.

• Fenson Contracting

has indicated that they will be moving into the village to begin working on repairing the sidewalks that were identified as part of the sidewalk repair program, the project projected to start in June.

• Work on the third

phase of the solar field continues to occur. It’s expected the Eitri Foundry to begin setting steel structures the first week of June.

The meeting then met for executive session, with no other official business conducted afterward. The meeting was adjourned for everyone involved.
